On May 25th, the British media “The Sun” reported that Chelsea is interested in Inter Milan striker Icardi, which will need to compete with Paris Saint-Germain. Currently Inter Milan’s asking price for Icardi more than 60 million euros. Let’s take a look at the details below.
According to British media reports, Chelsea have joined the rivalry for Inter Milan striker Icardi.
“The Sun” stated that Paris Saint-Germain did not want to activate the buyout option (£62 million) in the Icardi loan contract, but wanted to renegotiate the price, which gave other teams an opportunity to do so. Paris’s new offer is 45 million pounds, with another 9 million floating, but Inter Milan have reportedly rejected it.
Chelsea are aware of icardi’s situation and will join the rivalry, claims The Sun. The Blues have turned their attention to other strikers on the market after failing to sign Mertens. The 27-year-old Icardi has played 31 times in Paris this season and scored 20 goals, which is one of the attractive targets in the market.
